Bets to Avoid in Online Craps
If you want to win more money playing online craps there are
simply bets that you cannot make. Let’s take a look at what
bets to avoid when you are playing craps.
Seven is the most common number that is rolled but that doesn’t
mean you want to bet the “Any Seven” or “Seven”
option. The true odds of rolling a seven are 5-1 but you only
get a payout of 4-1 which makes the house edge over 16%. The same
principle applies on the “Eleven” as the house has
the same advantage.
Another really bad bet to make in craps is the “Horn Bet”
which gives you the numbers 2,3,11 and 12 on the next roll. The
house edge is just as high as it was on the seven and eleven bets
and that means it is a bad bet for you.
Those “Hard-Way” bets sound attractive but the house
edge on them is almost 10% and that makes them a bad bet. The
“Any Craps” bet is also a bad value as the house edge
is over 11%. The “Big 6” and “Big 8” bets
are also a bad value with the house edge at over 9%.
“The Field” bet is not a disaster in terms of house
advantage but you are still going against the odds with the house
edge over 5%.
“Place bets” are also not too bad if you pick the
right numbers. The edge for the house is higher on the 4 and 10
at almost 7% while the edge is 4% on the 5 and the 9. The best
value is on the 6 and 8 with the house edge at just over 1.5%.
The best bets in craps are the pass line, don’t pass line,
come bets and don’t come bets. They all have a house edge
of about 1.4% which is about as good as you can possibly hope
for at the online casino.
