Iron Cross Craps System

Have you heard of the Iron Cross system for playing online craps? It is an interesting system that is very easy to use and simple to understand.

The Iron Cross system has you making your wager on every roll and playing the field bet and also individual place bets on 5, 6 and 8. If the shooter rolls a 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, or 12 then you immediately win your field bet. If the shooter rolls a 5, 6, or 8 then the place bet on that number wins. The only way you lose with this system is if the shooter rolls a 7. That means you should win five out of six times.

While it sounds great to win five out of six times the house still holds the edge with this system. The problem is that when a 7 comes up you lose four different wagers. And keep in mind that all four of the wagers have a house edge ranging from about 1.5% up to over 5%. When everything is taken into consideration the overall house edge on the Iron Cross Craps system is 3.87%. If you like action then this is an exciting system as you will get a win or a loss on every single roll but if you want a lower house edge then you would be better off simply playing the Pass or Don’t Pass and taking full odds as the house edge would be lower.
